Hey folks, we hope you're all coping with everything that's going on!
New guidance from the government was issued on Friday evening, stating that all pubs, restaurants, and other entertainment venues were to close until further notice.
While we do not fall into these categories as we are a retail store first and foremost, we have made the decision that our gaming area is now closed for the foreseeable future. All events and casual play will no longer be available in store - this includes any planned D&D events, Magic: The Gathering, etc. Customers who have purchased a ticket to a cancelled event will be contacted via email.
So what does this mean for the Game Mastering session on Sunday 22nd March?
This event will run with two significant changes:
- The format will change to be an online-run event. As soon as we have the details ironed out for this, we will post an update to the event itself to explain how to access this event. Running online means we can present information and discussion in a very different way, and gives us more options for sharing these things, but requires a different kind of preparation than we had originally planned for, which leads to the following change.
- The date will be slightly postponed. This is to allow us to prepare for presenting online instead of in person, and gives us more scope to make the event more suitable for those who wish to attend. A new date will be announced shortly.
As our opening times for this week assumed we would still be able to run limited capacity events and this is no longer the case, we will be amending our opening times from next week (with apologies, hopefully this won't happen again!). These will take effect from Sunday 22nd March.
