More Promo Cards for Pokemon League

Osiris Games Pokemon League

On Saturdays between 12pm and 2pm, we run our regular Pokemon League. This is a fantastic opportunity for kids and adults alike to play Pokemon TCG games with others, as well as practise their deck building and trade cards*. For those who are new to the game, this is also a chance to learn how to play in store.

Traditionally we have run this event as a purely casual event, with every player getting a promo card each week they attend. From the new year, we will be offering an additional way for players to get their hands on even more promo cards!

Starting in January 2020, every player who attends Pokemon League will receive a monthly stamp card. For every game you play with a Standard deck in League, you'll receive a stamp on that week's track on the card. If you fill a track, you can pick a promo card from our collection in store! Also, for months where we have five weeks instead of four, you can use the fifth League session to add stamps to any previous week.

Of course, this means that you'll need a Standard deck to earn stamps! You can build your own deck if you like, just make sure to follow the official deck building rules, found in the official rulebook here. You'll also want to make sure you're using cards that are valid for the current Standard format; you can find out what cards are allowed in Standard here.

If you need a bit of help building your deck, feel free to come in and ask the local community for advice and suggestions! And if you don't want to build your own deck or don't quite have enough cards to make your own, you can always pick up a new deck in store or online.

Our first Pokemon League session for the new year is on Saturday 4th January. Mark your calendars, grab your cards, and get ready to play!

*Please note all card trades are subject to our standard trading rules. More information is available in store.
