Book a Store Visit
We're now open for pre-booked collections and shopping! We're really glad that you want to visit us, but in order for us to offer in-store services, we have put the following safety rules in place for all customers.
- Pre-book your visit, and please only come to the store during that time.
- Wear a mask / face covering.
- No more than two people in store per visit.
- Pay your comic pull list in advance (unless you have arranged otherwise with us).
- Card payments only, no cash accepted.
- Bring your own carrier bags.
- If you or someone you have been in contact with has symptoms or has tested positive for Covid-19 in the last four weeks or is a high-risk individual, please don't visit the store!
You can book a collection slot at the bottom of this page. If you are not able to follow the safety rules above, please email us to request shipping instead and we'll be happy to send your items out to you!
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are you doing bookings instead of open browsing?
The primary reason is for everyone's safety. Our store is very small and the number of people who can be inside at once is limited. The building has car parks on either side, which makes it difficult to queue safely.
In addition to this, booking has great advantages for you as a customer! You don't have to wait outside for ages for your turn to visit us, so no queue fatigue. We can have your items ready to go before you come in, so you know exactly what to expect when you arrive. You also are the only customer in store during your slot, so we are able to give you our undivided attention for your entire visit!
Can I pay for my comic pull list in store?
In most cases, no, apologies! Going through customer pull lists takes time and risks overrunning your slot. You should receive an invoice before your booked visit, please pay this in advance before visiting us. If you cannot pay for your pull list in advance, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to make alternative arrangements!
Do I have to pay for all my items (such as games) in advance?
If you've preordered any items and you can pay for them before visiting the store, we would definitely appreciate it! Advance payments help us to better manage our time with customers in store. We may require advance payment if you are collecting a large number of items. If you would like help with this, please contact us at email@example.com!
Can I buy other items while I'm in store?
Yes! While you're not able to browse the shelves, you are certainly able to ask for other items while in store and pay for them by card. If you book a 10-minute collection slot, we recommend having an idea of what you want before you come in. If you're not sure what you're looking for and would like some extra time to talk to us about what is available, we recommend booking a 20-minute shopping slot instead (coming soon).
Why can't I pay in cash?
Handling cash notes and coins is a significant amount of increased contact with surfaces that cannot be easily cleaned. Our card machine, however, is easy to disinfect between every customer visit!
What are you doing in store to keep me safe?
We have rearranged the store to create a customer space near the front door, minimising how far into the building customers have to go to be served. Protective screens have been installed on both counters in this area. All services that are touched by customers are cleaned after their visit and before the next customer enters, including door handles, counters, and card machines. An automatic hand sanitiser dispenser has been added just inside the front door, and staff wear face coverings during customer collection slots.
What if I have an issue with anything above?

Why do you have so many rules? Can't you just open normally?
The rules are in place to keep everyone, including our staff, safe. As a reminder, Osiris Games and Proud Lion Comics are currently operating with a single member of staff, Rae. If Rae becomes ill, and/or she and her household are required to self isolate, the entire business must fully close for the duration of this time - meaning no new comics or games for anyone! Rae and a member of her family are also considered high-risk due to pre-existing medical conditions, and cannot afford to take any additional risks with their safety. For the time being, this new way of doing things is going to be our normal. We appreciate your understanding!
